The Full Story

Who We Are

Riverview Animal Protective League other wise known as Riverview APL is located in Columbiana County is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization. We receive no Federal or state government funding.

We’re not affiliated with any agency (State or Federal government). We’re supported by donations and fundraising.

​

We respond with Humane Agents to complaints of animals being abused, neglected, and abandoned, and hoarding cases. Cases include companion animals & farm animals, not wildlife. That is a job for the Ohio Department Natural Resources (ODNR).

 

Our Mission

  • Operate as a county humane society serving Columbiana County, Ohio, pursuant to ORC §1717.05.

  • Educate the general public on the purpose of the Riverview Animal Protective League.

  • Promote humane principles and animal welfare.

  • Employ 2 humane agents to enforce laws for the prevention of cruelty to animals in Columbiana County Ohio.​
